Over the past 5 years of my fanaticism for Electronic music I’ve come across some really good artists, some really great artists, and some really exceptional ones as well.
I’d like to introduce you to one of my all time favourites, Laetho.
As a kid in Bruges, Belgium he started out his music career by playing the drums…playing in bands until being captivated by that noise we call ‘dubstep’ at the very tender age of 15. Wanting to learn how to make music like that, he decided producing was the way to go.
Now 23, Laetho has definitely broken out beyond his set of drums becoming a consistently multifarious producer with a style too hard to confine so I’ll just call it, ‘graceful bass’. As a disciple of great producers like: Lido, Mr. Carmack, Kaytranada and so many others, Laetho has a passion for making music that is undeniably obvious in every one of his tracks.
Until the fateful day that I receive my Bandsintown notification announcing the Laetho North American tour; there are a dozen tracks that I will continue to pore over. Below are my Laetho likes and loves, and I hope they become yours too.
Thank you for reading, and many special thanks to Laetho as well.
Something about a woman’s voice, paired with the sound of an electric guitar just does my soul right.
Over the past four years I have been listening to almost solely music of electronic nature, therefore it is super refreshing to hear bands doing what we refer to as, “crossover” where they integrate sounds from different genres of music into something totally their own…(for now at least).
Satellite Empire has an Indie Rock vibe with lots of electronic notes that help create a beautiful audial landscape to accompany the feels delivered by their emotionally driven lyrics. Self genre-lized as Melodic Dubstep/Metalcore on their Facebook, Satellite Empire definitely inspires something much different than any other artists in my music library (which I am slowly but surely building via Spotify).
Their 2016 EP ‘Thrones‘ has been a mainstay for me over the last few months and I can’t seem to get enough of the last song on the short-but-heartfelt album appropriately entitled, Thrones. Enjoy the fantastic sound of Satellite Empire below, and thanks for reading, much love!

It’s not always about finding the wettest behind-the-ear, up-and-coming 16 yr-old artist…sometimes there are producers that came out way back when and just so happen to still be killin’ it. (see; KASKADE, Flume, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, etc…)
One of those DJs for me is Seven Lions.
And with 3.65M followers on Soundcloud alone, he sure isn’t hurting for any more blog coverage. Doesn’t bother me any, because he just released yet another beautiful track showcasing that classic bass-heavy, dreamscapy glitch sound that I can only ever seem to find from a few people that’s done so well.
One of the first artists to get me into genres like dubstep and trance, I will always have a soft spot in my heart and ears for his tunes.
Some artists are just like a fine wine ya’ know? Enjoy his newest single and one of his best remixes below. Thanks for reading.
This week has been an introspective one to say the least…it is really incredible how everyday seems to be “the same” at times, but then you remember to look over your shoulder, and holy **** ToTo we’re not in Kansas anymore!
Music is the best at that, constantly changing and striving for the unthinkable.
Those are the artists I am currently focused on, because I don’t know if you were all aware, but the songs we are currently listening to are becoming the soundtracks of our lives…let’s make sure it’s a good playlist huh?
Have a safe & lovely weekend guys, enjoy some lighthearted, and heavy tunes this long weekend.
I’m pretty sure this image of Eazy-E wasn’t taken by smith. –listen below 🔥– however, his track is bass-heavy and also free to download via TONEDEN<3 right here, so we’re gonna honor this picture of one of the baddest motherfuckers to grace this beautiful planet earth. Peace~
