Something about a woman’s voice, paired with the sound of an electric guitar just does my soul right.
Over the past four years I have been listening to almost solely music of electronic nature, therefore it is super refreshing to hear bands doing what we refer to as, “crossover” where they integrate sounds from different genres of music into something totally their own…(for now at least).
Satellite Empire has an Indie Rock vibe with lots of electronic notes that help create a beautiful audial landscape to accompany the feels delivered by their emotionally driven lyrics. Self genre-lized as Melodic Dubstep/Metalcore on their Facebook, Satellite Empire definitely inspires something much different than any other artists in my music library (which I am slowly but surely building via Spotify).
Their 2016 EP ‘Thrones‘ has been a mainstay for me over the last few months and I can’t seem to get enough of the last song on the short-but-heartfelt album appropriately entitled, Thrones. Enjoy the fantastic sound of Satellite Empire below, and thanks for reading, much love!

Holy shit you guys…it’s almost over.
Typically I don’t really remember ‘years‘ for what happened in them or whatever…I can hardly remember what I ate 48 hours ago (probably something with potatoes though).
2016 was an emotional shit storm for yours truly.
A year filled with a rise in my anxiety on a daily basis, and me questioning everyone and everything coming and going from my social circle to the people I saw on the streets.
I’m usually distracted by the changes and “fresh starts” that a New Year tantalizes us with, but this December I just feel happy to be going into the next 365 days with all my limbs and wits about me…
Something I have always been fairly decent or been consistent with is maintaining a playlist of sorts, and around one year ago today I started keeping a log of the songs I have deemed “Best of 2016” entitled, ‘3016’.
So here it is; a cool playlist for your hopeful NYE get together, or any ready-to-get-lit-fest you may have going on this weekend.
These are all songs that either stood out amongst the rest or have been on heavy repeat, getting me through the life-sized obstacle course that was the past year of my life.
From the bottom of my heart to yours, enjoy.
Music is what keeps me going, without it I think we would all truly be lost.
Perhaps what we chose to hear is the actual reason we find ourselves without the happiness we seek…
Music is the drug.

Have a safe and happy weekend free from attachment and any aversions to your happiness. Much Love~
It’s that day of the week again…and is it just me or are they flying by? Probably because it’s the end of summer and that means a bunch of us are grasping at last minute hangs with friends and fam we never actually chilled with at all in the last two months, and festivals are smashing out the last of their dedicated and financially stable campers to any stage they can light a fire on…that being said, it’s a emotionally charged time of year for all those involved.
Here is a dope playlist to impress your homies with while you throwback brews and smoke endless cigarettes on your front porch waiting for the heat to fuck the fuck off.
Artwork courtesy of HXV one of the artists featured on our weekly playlist below, we like to give thanks to those who understand that Art is made to be shared with the world, word up! Stay well friends~
Hope everyone’s weekend was as good as ours ❤
p.s. this track is available for free via The Artist Union here.
Moving Forward as always, this is one Future Fridaze playlist we are really proud of.
That goes within hand of learning to let go of our Pride…that being said, just press play, vibe out and enjoy.
Sometimes you find a song that just sums up everything in your life to-date. Been feeling some type of way ever since Memorial Day Weekend, I wonder how many of you might feel the same…
All of Polish’s music is “Name your Price” on his Bandcamp (what a guy!)
and this particular remix of Lynx-Picture is available for free from TAU here.
